同根同源叙宗情，凝心聚力启新程—— 香港余氏宗亲会 89 周年庆典暨敬老奖学大会圆满举办-最新动态-风采月刊

金蛇辞旧岁，瑞马迎新春。在这充满温情与欢聚的时刻，香港余氏宗亲会迎来了成立八十九周年的重要节点，第三十届第二次敬老奖学暨会员春节联欢大会在欢声笑语中隆重举行。来自台山、开平的领导嘉宾、各友会代表、海内外余氏宗亲欢聚一堂，共叙血脉亲情，同庆宗族盛会，现场暖意融融、乡情洋溢。

尊敬的台山市委常委刘利元先生及各位领导，开平市委常委、统战部长伍德斌先生及各位领导，各位友会首长、嘉宾，本会会长、理监事及各位会员宗亲：

今晚的会场，是余氏宗亲与各界贤达的欢聚之地。大家拨冗莅临本次大会，让温馨热闹的庆典更添荣光，我谨代表宗亲会向所有来宾致以最诚挚的感谢！

本次大会得到了各界社团的鼎力支持，大家惠赠的礼物、花篮与贺仪，让会场充满了浓浓的乡情与暖意；庆典筹备委员会全体理监事的无私付出、司仪团队的专业协助、表演单位的精彩演绎，更让这场盛会圆满增色。

长期以来，台开两地的各级领导与友好社团，始终关心支持余氏宗族事务的发展。在此，我再次向大家致以由衷的谢意！也祝香港繁荣昌盛，家乡台开风调雨顺，祝祖国富强安康，在座各位身体健康、阖家欢乐、事业有成！谢谢大家！

大家晚上好！

今晚，余氏宗亲欢聚一堂，共叙血脉亲情，同谋宗族发展，这份同根同源的情谊，让我们心手相连、情谊愈笃。首先，我谨代表香港余氏宗亲会，向拨冗莅临本会庆祝成立八十九周年第三十届第二次敬老奖学暨会员春节联欢大会的各位台开官员、宗长宗亲及海内外友好，致以最诚挚的问候与最热烈的欢迎！

本人承蒙各位宗亲厚爱与信任，出任本会理事长，转眼已踏入第二年。回顾过去一年，本会各项会务稳步推进。我们始终秉持「敦亲睦族、弘扬祖德、团结互助、兴族兴邦」的宗旨，积极联络各地余氏宗亲，完善宗亲联系网络，妥善处理各项宗族事务。与此同时，我们持续关心并支持国内教育事业，助力内地学校发展。兴学育才乃宗族传家之本，扶困助学更是余氏历代相传的优良家风。本会长期坚持奖优助学善举，用心关怀族中优秀学子与家境困难学童，透过颁发奖学金与助学金，鼓励后辈勤学向上、立志成才，以知识改变命运，以才华回报宗族与家乡。我们定将持续把助学兴教这项功德之事做实、做细，望余氏子弟人人有书读、个个能成才，为宗族培育更多栋梁之材。

值得一提的是，今年十一月，本会将隆重举行第九届世界余氏恳亲大会，此乃余氏宗族的一大盛事，更是凝聚宗亲、弘扬祖德的重要契机。在此，我衷心呼吁本会全体理监事同仁同心同德、群策群力、通力合作，以最饱满的精神、最周密的安排，共同办好此次恳亲盛会，向各地宗亲展现香港余氏宗亲会的团结与风采。

同时，我亦谨此向在座各位宗亲及友好宣布两项宗族盛事：其一，香港余氏宗亲会将于本年十一月十三日及十四日，一连两天在香港隆重举办第九届世界余氏恳亲大会。这是海内外余氏宗亲团聚交流的难得盛会，我们热切欢迎海内外各地友好及余氏堂会积极组织代表团莅临参会，共叙宗情、共谋发展、共谱新篇！其二，第九届恳亲大会结束后，随即由开平荻海余风采堂主办理为期四天的台开旅游活动。行程将游览台山、开平著名景点，包括赤坎古镇、梅家大院、海口埠、桂水村等，饱览家乡秀丽风光；并专程出席开平风采华侨中学四十周年校庆，见证族校发展荣光；同时顺道参观台山武溪中学，感念宗亲兴学善举，缅怀宗族兴教初心。

展望未来，本会将继续紧扣宗族发展大局，进一步加强海内外余氏堂会的联谊合作，传承发扬余氏优良家风与宗族文化，用心做好会务服务、助学扶弱及宗亲联谊等各项工作。我们将携手所有余氏宗亲，共同推动余氏宗族事业蒸蒸日上、再创辉煌！

本人亦定当恪尽职守，继续联同理事会全体同仁，用心服务宗亲，扎实推进会务，力求更上一层楼，让本会更具凝聚力与活力。

最后，再次衷心感谢各位宗长、理监事及全体宗亲一直以来的支持与厚爱。恳请大家继续同心携手、守望相助，共同推动香港余氏宗亲会会务蒸蒸日上，再创佳绩！

未来，香港余氏宗亲会将继续以宗亲为纽带，以文化为桥梁，连接海内外余氏族人，传承优良家风，助力家乡发展，让余氏宗族的血脉情谊，在新时代焕发出更蓬勃的生机。

Unite by Blood, Forge Ahead Together — The 89th Anniversary Celebration of Hong Kong Yu Clan Association Successfully Held

As the old year gives way to the new and the Auspicious Horse greets the Spring Festival, a warm and joyous gathering took place to celebrate the 89th anniversary of the Hong Kong Yu Clan Association. The 30th Session, 2nd Elderly Respect, Scholarship Award and Membership Spring Gala was held amid laughter and cheers. Leaders and guests from Taishan and Kaiping, representatives of sister associations, and Yu clansmen from home and abroad gathered to share the bond of blood and celebrate this grand clan event, filling the venue with warmth and hometown affection.

Respected Mr. Liu Liyuan, Member of the Standing Committee of Taishan Municipal Party Committee, and other leaders; Respected Mr. Wu Debin, Member of the Standing Committee of Kaiping Municipal Party Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department, and other leaders; Distinguished leaders of sister associations, guests, the president, supervisors, and all members of our association:

Tonight’s venue is a gathering place for Yu clansmen and virtuous people from all walks of life. Your presence at this conference has added glory to this warm and lively celebration. On behalf of the Clan Association, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the guests!

This conference has received strong support from various social organizations. The gifts, flower baskets and congratulatory gifts you presented have filled the venue with deep hometown affection and warmth. The selfless dedication of all supervisors and board members of the celebration organizing committee, the professional assistance of the host team, and the wonderful performances of the performing groups have made this grand event a complete success.

For a long time, leaders at all levels and friendly organizations in Taishan and Kaiping have always cared about and supported the development of Yu Clan affairs. Here, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to you again! I also wish Hong Kong prosperity and stability, my hometown Taishan and Kaiping good weather and bumper harvests, the motherland prosperity and well-being, and all of you present good health, happy families and successful careers! Thank you all!

[Director’s Speech: Uphold the Original Aspiration, Pass on the Family Tradition, Gather Strength for a New Journey]

Tonight, we gather because of our blood ties and unite because of our common roots. This bond of Yu Clan that transcends mountains and seas connects our hearts and hands, making our friendship even deeper. First of all, on behalf of the Hong Kong Yu Clan Association, I would like to extend my sincere greetings and warmest welcome to the officials from Taishan and Kaiping, clan elders, clansmen and friends from home and abroad who have attended this conference.

Thanks to the love and trust of all clansmen, I have entered my second year as the Director of this association. Over the past year, we have always adhered to the purpose of "Strengthening Kinship, Promoting Ancestral Virtues, Uniting and Assisting Each Other, and Developing the Clan and the Country", and steadily promoted various association affairs: improving the clan contact network and properly handling clan affairs; continuing to support the education cause in the mainland, adhering to the fine family tradition of the Yu Clan of "Promoting Education and Cultivating Talents, Assisting the Poor and Supporting Students". Through scholarship and student assistance programs, we encourage the younger generation to study hard, aspire to become talents, change their destiny with knowledge, and repay the clan and their hometown with their talents. In the future, we will continue to solidify and refine the good cause of supporting education, cultivating more pillars of the clan.

First, from November 13 to 14 this year, our association will grandly hold the9th World Yu Clan Reunion Conference in Hong Kong. This is an important opportunity to unite clansmen and promote ancestral virtues. We sincerely invite Yu Clan associations at home and abroad to organize delegations to attend the conference, share the clan bond, seek common development and create a new chapter together!

Second, after the Reunion Conference, the Kaiping Dihai Yu Fengcai Hall will organize a four-day tour of Taishan and Kaiping. The itinerary will take you to visit famous scenic spots in Taishan and Kaiping, including Chikan Ancient Town, Meijia Courtyard, Haikou Port, Guishui Village and other hometown attractions, attend the 40th anniversary celebration of Kaiping Fengcai Overseas Chinese Middle School, and visit Taishan Wuxi Middle School to revisit the original aspiration of the clan to promote education and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the hometown.

Looking to the future, our association will continue to focus on the overall development of the clan, deepen the friendship and cooperation with Yu Clan associations at home and abroad, inherit the fine family traditions and clan culture, and earnestly do a good job in association services, student assistance for the poor, clan friendship and other work, promoting the cause of the Yu Clan to thrive and create greater glory. I will also fulfill my duties faithfully, work with all colleagues of the council to serve the clansmen wholeheartedly, steadily promote the association affairs, and make the clan association more cohesive and dynamic.

Finally, I would like to thank the clan elders, supervisors and all clansmen for their support and love again. I sincerely ask everyone to continue to work together, help each other, and jointly promote the affairs of the Hong Kong Yu Clan Association to a new level! Thank you all!

This celebration is not only a review of the 89-year journey of the Hong Kong Yu Clan Association, but also a beautiful expectation for the future development of the clan. Respecting the elderly and awarding scholarships conveys the warmth of "respecting the elderly as we respect our own elders and caring for the young as we care for our own children"; Reunion and friendship gather the strength of "common roots, common origins, and common progress".

In the future, the Hong Kong Yu Clan Association will continue to take clansmen as the link and culture as the bridge, connect Yu clansmen at home and abroad, inherit the fine family traditions, support the development of the hometown, and let the blood bond of the Yu Clan radiate more vigorous vitality in the new era.
